Mason is a multi-award winning Nashville, TN based filmmaker, editor, cinematographer, videographer, writer, director, and motion graphics animator.
Graduating from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2018 with a Bachelor’s in Cinema Studies and a minor in Sociology, Mason has been working as a videographer and editor since. From person to person work to large-scale, national corporations, Mason has worked with clients of all sizes in his freelance endeavors and through well established production companies and advertising agencies.
Various clients, both freelance and agency, include: The Army National Guard, World Series of Board Gaming, Civic Actions, Project Heart, Bissell Pet Foundation, Hillsdale College, Strong Well, The Department of Veteran’s Affairs, NC State University, etc.
A familiarity with a large amount of camera systems, lighting equipment, and post production software lends Mason to be a valuable resource both on and off set. Apart from conventional DSLR, mirrorless, or large format digital cameras, Mason is a 360/VR video specialist, working with professional Insta360 cameras as well as smaller, more versatile 360 cameras.
Mason started editing video when he was a wee-lad, and has continued learning and improving his craft his entire life. Primarily using the Adobe Creative suite, Mason is well versed in Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Media Encoder, as well as DaVinci Resolve.

Cinematographer - Editor
“SFRE” was a multi-medium campaign for the Army National Guard’s social media. Mason acted as cinematographer and editor on this project, alongside multiple other coworkers at iostudio. Multiple videos were included in this campaign, two of which where Mason served as the lead creative mind behind it.

Social Cinematographer - Editor
“Take On Your Legacy” was a multi-medium campaign for the Army National Guard. Mason acted as cinematographer and editor on this project, alongside multiple other coworkers at iostudio. The campaign included a flagship commercial, social media video content, and website/print media. Multiple videos were included in this campaign.

Camera Operator - Editor - 360 Specialist
“Make The Leap” was one of many 360/VR videos Mason shot and edited for the Army National Guard, winning an American Advertising Award in 2020. The video as well as some others edited by Mason, are available on the National Guard’s website.

“A Thousand Words” was Mason’s brain child, being the writer, director, cinematographer, and editor. It premiered at the Handheld Film Festival in the Spring of 2018, being the last college project he put together.

This experimental short film premiered at the Handheld Film Festival at the Knoxville Museum of Art in 2016, beating out competition for the “Best Film/Video” prize.
